the MAGIC NUMBER

Hi again fellow believers of vangods!
We believe in bt05 metas that nowadays, there is a magic number in game.
wait WHAT? dafuq i just read?
what is magic number?

basically, it is a 'phrase' made by vangods in which your rearguard, will make your opponent guard 10k whenever you attack (rearguard).
so what is the number?

it is 18K.
why? nowadays meta, it is an all 13k vg decks, so to make ur opp guard 10k, ur rearguard must have AT LEAST 18k attacks or above.

Important meh?
Answer = when you hit the magic number, opponent will either no guard, or use a 10k shield to guard, or even better, guard using 2 x 5k, and it wastes 2 handsize of your opponent. if your attack is below 18k, opponent can just intercept, or maybe, after your vanguard attack and your opponent check damage, it has trigger on it, your opponent will put it in the vanguard and their vanguard becomes 18k. in which your rearguard with atk below 18k cant attack your opponent's vanguard.

Isn't easy to make everything 18k with all those baromedes, or death metal droid, or others isn't it?
Answer = of course.
THE MAIN TOPIC HERE IS, HOW ABOUT FOR THOSE GUYS WHO CAN'T AFFORD SSD, BAROMEDES?
THIS IS THE SOLUTION.

I made a deck based on Magic numbers, and it works pretty well. THE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS DECK IS, there is NO FOIL AT ALL INSIDE IT. EVERYTHING ARE either rare or common. So this deck is just reallly really really really cheap. with just 15 dollars, you can make your deck a magic number deck, WITH great stability on it.
P.S = not easy to make a 18k decks without being able to use any foils.

DECK NAME = sweet18
decklist :

g0
1 Durangal
16 triggers (6-6-4 based, crit draw heal)

g1
4 galahad g1
4 marron
3 lien
3 toypoogal

g2
4 randolf
4 gallatin
3 akane

g3
4 butterfly man
4 borz

the only card that cant make you hit the magic number is akane. and it is only to call toypoogal, and you will intercept it.
This deck needs quite some strategy, not just anyhow put booster and attack, you must know whether that g2 infront of the g1, will be used to intercept, and then suddenly u call a gallatin with 7k booster which doesnt hit the magic number. its quite tricky, but if you are already familiar with fast game play, i assume you already know how to count everything about 11k, 12k,13k walls and their 16k,17k,18k,21k,22k,23k barriers.

AGAIN, I DONT WANT ANYBODY TO SUGGEST ANY CARDS LIKE BAROMEDES G3, BECAUSE IT IS A FREAKING FOIL thx.

BT05 card discussion

Okay, so from BT05 we can see some new eras, which involves 13k base attack Vanguard.
And the main 3 cards are, Dragonic Overlord The End, Phantom Blaster Overlord and Majestic Lord blaster.

For effects, go to http://cf-vanguard.wikidot.com/twin-swords-awakening

while now we will be discussing the cards one by one.

D.O.T.E = This card is released to taunt your opponent whether to guard or no, if they don't, you may stand again and if you get critical which lasts for a turn, your opponent may have a hard time to guard the next time this card attacks. While if your opponent guard, your opponent might have to waste quite a lot of resources since 13k + aermo 10k = 23k is not easy to guard every turn. Your opponent needs to be smart to know whether you have another D.O.T.E in your hand or no.

Goods = Activating the effect is easy, you just need to hit and CB 2 and discard 1, you get to twin drive twice. What happens when your opponent keep guarding your D.O.T.E? My question is, will your opponent be able to stall and guard your D.O.T.E every turn by throwing 20k guard? I don't think so. Even if they would, they will waste a lot of resources from their hands, that's why this card is really good.

Cons = Not so much, but Kagero doesn't have the support to either search this card, or an easy access to both D.O and D.O.T.E. Its easy to ride this card and make it 11k, but its pretty hard to make it 13k. Of course we do have Flame edge dragon to soul charge, and also to ride D.O and next turn ride D.O.T.E. But the consequences is that you need to re-ride once and if your opponent rushes you to 4 damage before you get to re - ride. You will have a hard time to guard. So choose wisely, whether to re-ride to make it 13k, or just leave it be 11k and you will not waste much resources and you get to stand quite easily(since when you ride this, your opponent's damage would still be at 1, so most probably they won't guard)

Phantom Blaster Overlord = Almost the same explanation as DOTE, but in most cases you won't use the effect since it has a very high cost and it is very conditional.

Goods = Shadow Paladin has the ability to search for PBD by javelin effect, And so, getting PBD is not a hard thing to do. What's more to say, we have card from BT05 (i forget the name) which when called, you SC 1 card from your hand. So you can just ride PBO from hand, and SC your PBD from your hand. Nothing else is good, other than it being an 11k in the RG too.

Cons = Effect hard to use. Enough said. SP uses PBO just because 13k VG is strong and you can guard less.

Now, The hype is all on Majestic Lord Blaster.
Some people say it is good, some people say it is bad.

Goods = Easy to searched out --> Wingal Brave
Second effect is really handy if you don't have BB and BD in soul, but you have them in hand or RG. Just use his second effect, and so his continuous effect will work
Its continuous effect. Being it a 12k base atk VG (with soul of course), and +1 crit every turn.
It makes your opponent guard every turn(depends on the situation though).

Cons = - Getting BB and BD is hard, while you want a very consistent deck. You can put Gancelot to search out BB, But it won't be consistent. You can search out BD using Wingal Brave, but sometimes you can't even get it during 2nd or 3rd turn which makes your MLB just a useless 10k base attack.
- 10k base attack.
- If your opponent is smart, why would you guard MLB? During the first and second turn, you will not call any rearguards(users of MLB) because your grade 2 are most probably 4 BB, 4 BD, and starcall trumpeter. Which means, you will not summon them especially BB and BD since you are afraid of them being destroyed. So your opponent will have the strategy that to guard your g1 and g2 attacks, and while you are still trying to make BB and BD to enter your soul, they would guard all the way until you get them. AND before you get that 12k base VG, your opponent will surely Rush you off the hook. Thats the bad thing about this.
- Nowadays era, you can see lots of Kagerou and SP here and there with their 13k vg. While MLB being 12k + at most 10k = 22k, vs 13k ..your opponent will just laugh at you and say..haha 15k guard, 2 trigger go through. While them attacking using their 13k vg is easy, and when the turn you soul charge BB and BD, you will waste around 2 handsize minimum. by then, they might rush you off the next turn.

In the end, it is up to you whether you want to use MLB or not. But MLB for us Vangods is just a hype and people will start not to use it soon after they got pawned by D.O.T.E and P.B.O. true story. have been tried using proxies, and DOTE is much much better than MLB. You guys want to flame us for saying that MLB isnt that good, Never mind. you guys will know about its weakness and experience it after playing it quite few times.

Thats all
Stand UP, The Vanguard!

BT01 Discussion (Part IV)

Okay guys, now it's the time for the only deck, which is very stable and not many people know how to play it, but its strength should be feared. Oracle Think Tank!

Oracle Think Tank オラクルシンクタンク

Short introduction = The last clan in the four main clan of Vanguard, used by Tokura Misaki in the anime. It is a deck that focuses on drawing by using effects while gaining advantage and attacking your opponent with CEO's high attack.

Important cards

Boss Monsters (BT01)
- CEO Amaterasu
- Apollon

Support cards
- Battle Sister Cocoa
- Battle Sister Mocha

Must haves in deck
- Battle Sister Chocolate
- Gemini

Decklist
Grade 0
4x Lozenge Magus
4x Oracle Guardian Nike
4x Dream Eater
4x Miracle Kid

Grade 1
4x Gemini
4x Battle Sister Chocolate
3x Battle Sister Cocoa
3x Weather Girl Milk

Grade 2
4x Oracle Guardian Wiseman
4x Battle Sister Mocha
4x Maiden of Libra

Grade 3
4x CEO Amaterasu
4x Apollon

In BT01 meta, this deck is not a rush deck, while you need to stall your opponent and gain advantage slowly by keep drawing. There are not much cons in this deck, but if your opponent rushes you too fast, you might die as you won't have much rearguards by turn 3, while Decks like Kagero and Nova would rush you, since they shouldn't play stalling too long, if not they will eventually die as they won't have much resources. So that's all for OTT. Thanks for reading :)

BT01 Discussion (Part III)

Okay guys, It's time for Nova Grephler!

Nova Grappler ノヴァグラップラー

Short introduction = One of the four main clan, used by Katsuragi Kamui in the anime. It is a strong deck that focuses on rushing and taunting your opponent by standing your own rearguards to attack again. This deck is 'anti Omniguard'. So basically when your opponent uses Omniguard against you, you will stand your own rearguards when you get a stand trigger, or by Asura Kaizer effect, and attack again.

Boss Monsters (BT01)
- Asura Kaizer
- Mr. Invincible

Support Monsters
- Genocide Jack
- Battle Rizer

Decklist
g0
4x Battle Rizer (Stand)
4x Round Girl, Clara (Heal)
4x Shining Lady (Critical)
4x Lucky Girl (Stand)

g1
4x Tough Boy
4x Shout
4x Claydoll Mechanic
3x Queen of Heart

g2
4x King of Sword
4x Genocide Jack
3x Hungry Dumpty

g3
4x Mr. Invincible
4x Asura Kaizer

Of course there is weakness in this deck. I guess everybody who are playing Japanese Vanguard should know the weakness of Nova Grappler in BT01. Yes, lack of Handsize and the absence of Omniguard. This deck is strong, but if not played properly and your luck is not there, this deck will not survive the 'meta'. But of course, talking about Asura Kaizer, there is a very strong mixed deck and it works really well with it. Which is NovaKagerou, combining Asura Kaizer and Dragonic Overlord. Combo? I guess its simple. Use Dragonic Overlord effects while Asura is in your VG, and when you drive check a grade 3 Nova Grappler, you get to stand it again. So basically this deck should play 8-4-4 formation, which is 8 stand, 4 draw, 4 heal. Or if you are into offensive build, then 8 stand 8 critical or 8 stand 4 critical and 4 heal is good.

So that's all for Nova Grappler. Coming up next, Oracle Think Tank.
